My goal with Sophi’s Art Garage is to amplify the voices I serve, using my knowledge to act as an agent/manager for authors and artists who create with a medium. If you’re an author or artist who’s underrepresented, underprivileged, and/or a senior citizen, I’d love to support your rise!

Let’s network, even if you don’t need an agent! Networking is everything in this industry. Our communities need artists to unite and bring art back into our neighborhoods. I found a direct correlation between defunding school and community art programs and active/mass shootings. We need to be intentional about building community and ensuring all are safe in our space. Let’s devise a plan together to help the future be artistic! Who’s gonna be the adults we needed as kids, with me?

  • Networking is FREE! Networking is also everything in this industry. It’s less about how great your work is and more about who you know and who’d like to know you. Building relationships is my superpower!

    A friend asked me to start this business. She wanted to go back to school and her skin tone was keeping her from opportunities she deserved to have and spaces she deserved to be in. It’s my honor and thrill to use my privilege to support the rise of those with less privilege. What little I was born with and the bit I’ve been given is yours to use as best we can. Between your boots and all my straps, ribbons, the conveyor blet I built and the elevator that I’m working on…together, we will pull ourselves permanently UP!

  • Each client needs something different from me. We negotiate our contract based on your needs, to grow as an artist.

    Common Needs:
    - Building relationships with local events coordinators.
    - Contacting galleries, shops, events, expos, organizations, festivals, etc.
    - Negotiating fees and contracts.
    - Representing your work at events, when you’re not available.
    - Arrange public speaking engagements.
    - Coordinate teaching/classes.
    - Introduce new business relationships and collaborations.
    - Create opportunities you wish to participate in but aren’t occurring yet.
